3 Work Poems

I “found” these in 1974-5 when I worked as a proofreader/production editor at Plenum Press, a New York publisher one whose specialties was translations of Soviet sci-tech journals like “Siberian Glass.” The translations were typed on IBM Selectric model C typewriters, which had proportional spacing. Proofreaders like myself would type corrections themselves and paste them in to the pages to be photographed and printed. The work was boring, creating incentive to “collect” interesting texts like the following three. Scan047Scan046Scan048
