Many of these publications or programs were associated with a traveling exhibit curated by the Italian poet Giovanni Fontana under the rubric “Figura/Partura” or “Figura/Scrittura/Partura,” which seems to translate as “figure scores or written figure scores,” although the author uses the term “visual poems,” among others.
